Inheriting and Selling Guns

Douglas Tibble recently resolved a dispute between a widow inheriting her husband’s extensive gun collection and an FFL gun dealer who took control of them and refused to return them citing state and federal laws and regulations, strawman purchase claims, and that some were illegal weapons. Our client’s position improved when we helped her obtain a Firearms Owners Identification (FOID) card, but was complicated by her husband’s failure to have a Gun Trust and his request that some guns be given to out-of-state children.
